A traditional GÜDE knife is forged, ground, refined, tested, packed and shipped in 55 manual manual steps at our Solingen factory.

Founded in 1910 by Karl Güde in the world-famous blade city of Solingen, we recently celebrated our 100th anniversary. With that we are proud to be one of the oldest German knife brands.
Over the many decades we have perfected our knowledge and skills in blade forging and are still enthusiastic about every single piece when it lies finished in our hands. To this day, we consider our knife manufacturing to be the highest art!

From the classic chef’s knife and our famous bread knife to the extraordinary exclusive series – we offer every chef the optimal cutting tool.
Our German knives are manufactured from chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel or elaborately forged damask steel, with pleasantly tactile handles made of various high-quality woods. This way, a GÜDE knife is always a very unique specimen.
