Under the motto "A kitchen is only as good as its knives," Emporio Testmagazin conducted a large-scale test of 25 kitchen, filleting, and bread knives. The quality and workmanship, ergonomics, sharpness and edge retention of the blade, functionality, durability and robustness, and safety of the knives represented in the field were tested thoroughly and intensively. With the overall high quality of the knives tested, the magazine came to the following conclusion in the bread knife category: "Güde's bread saw cannot be beaten by the competition; it is too strong in performance and we award it the only "very good" rating as test winner."
