Güde Alpha – The most versatile of the Solingen knife series

Key features: Hand-forged in Solingen, blade and tang made from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, ice-hardened & hand-sharpened, food-safe, robust and easy-care construction, three rivets (usually including the characteristic palm rivet), choice of high-quality handle materials.
Alpha
The knives in the Alpha are perfect for professional and amateur chefs alike, as they meet the requirements of the guidelines for knives used in the catering industry.
Alpha Pear
The handle scales are made from local pear wood, which is prized for its fine, dense grain and warm, reddish-brown color.
Alpha of Venice
The handle scales are made from oak wood from Venetian gondola posts (briccole). These posts are replaced every 100 years.
Alpha Barrel oak
Hand-forged knives with handles made from decades-old oak barrels – crafted from the wood of traditional wine barrels.
Alpha Mikarta
Each handle is unique and made from robust Mikarta a material composed of compressed cotton and resin that impresses with its distinctive grain and exceptional durability.

Handles made from olive wood up to 500 years old – each grain a piece of Mediterranean history, combined with Solingen blacksmithing craftsmanship.
Alpha Walnut
The handles in this series are made from mature Graubünden walnut—a particularly hard, densely grained wood with a distinctive grain and a warm, golden-brown patina.
