THE KNIFE. WINS GERMAN DESIGN AWARD

Our THE KNIFE. is honored with the German Design Award in the category Excellent Product Design - Kitchen! Our knife also won a "Special Mention" in the "Kitchen" category.
THE KNIFE. is more than just a simple chef's knife. The seemingly short handle and the strikingly large blade with the wide back are more reminiscent of a design object.

THE KNIFE. was designed by Bernd Müller and Lennart Lessmann and manufactured by GÜDE .

The jury's statement was as follows:
GÜDE has looked at the chefs' fingers and perfected the "overgrip". The thumb and forefinger securely grip the blade made of high-quality stainless steel, which widens towards the back. The middle finger rests comfortably in the characteristic bulge at the end of the blade. Thanks to the "overgrip", the center of gravity lies perfectly inside the hand. This shortens the lever, the force of the hand acts vertically downwards and the blade and handle become one. THE KNIFE thus offers optimum grip, maximum safety and perfect handling overall.
