Founded in Chicago in 1950, the GOOD DESIGNTM Award is the oldest, most prestigious and globally recognized prize for design excellence.

Following the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD, the INTERIOR INNOVATION AWARD and the solutions award from Messe Frankfurt, THE CHICAGO ATHENAEUM has presented THE KNIFE. with the GOOD DESIGNTM Award 2016/2017.

This is the fourth and internationally most important recognition for this exceptional piece of Solingen blacksmithing.

With the design of THE KNIFE. we had the courage to take a completely new path. This courage has now been rewarded.
