Pro tip:
For optimal results with the Shark herb knife, use the characteristic rocking technique: rest the tip of the knife on the cutting board and guide the blade over the herbs with gentle, rhythmic rocking movements—this preserves the essential oils and aromas as much as possible. Before each use, briefly run the blade over a sharpening steel to maintain its exceptional sharpness and achieve precise, clean cuts even after years of use.

In classic use, the Shark herb knife reveals its true strength when chopping fresh herbs such as basil, parsley, coriander, or chives. The characteristic curved blade shape allows you to guide the knife across the cutting board with gentle rocking movements, achieving an even, fine consistency without crushing the herbs or losing their aroma. The precision of the hand-sharpened blade is also evident when chopping garlic and ginger, as it effortlessly handles even harder ingredients.
The Shark knife is your ideal companion for preparing Mediterranean dishes: use it to chop aromatic herb mixtures for pesto, chimichurri, or gremolata. The compact shape gives you full control over the cut, while the robust blade retains its sharpness even with intensive use. When chopping nuts, almonds, or seeds, you benefit from the stability of the knife and the optimal weight distribution, which allows you to work without fatigue.
You can also use the Shark herb knife creatively for finely cutting vegetables: dice shallots, cut peppers into fine strips, or chop olives and dried tomatoes for antipasti variations. The shark-shaped blade glides precisely through soft ingredients and is ideal for cutting soft cheeses such as goat cheese, Brie, or Camembert—the non-stick properties of the polished blade prevent annoying sticking.
It is particularly useful when preparing Asian dishes: use it to chop fresh herbs such as Thai basil, coriander, and mint for summer rolls or Vietnamese pho. The knife also demonstrates its versatility when chopping lemongrass, galangal roots, or fresh chili peppers. Creative cooks can also use it to make their own spice blends —chop dried herbs, seeds, or spice grains to create your own unique creations.
Its exceptional sharpness and precise balance also make the Shark herb knife the perfect tool for garnishing: use it to cut fine strips of herbs as a finishing touch for soups, chop fresh mint for desserts, or prepare aromatic toppings for your culinary creations. The knife even excels at portioning chocolate or dried fruit, demonstrating its remarkable versatility beyond classic herb work.
