About the knife series
The Güde Alpha series combines traditional blacksmithing with elegant handle material from wine barrels that are over 100 years old. The blades are forged from stainless chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel in over 40 manual steps, ice-hardened, and hand-sharpened, giving them a hardness of 57-58 HRC. The barrel oak wood used for the handles is virtually indestructible thanks to its long maturation process, making it particularly durable and giving each knife its own individual character. The characteristic double bolster and full tang ensure perfect balance and fatigue-free working.

Franz Güde has been manufacturing Güde Solingen since 1910. Solingen for over four generations. Each blade is ground, polished, and perfected by experienced cutlers.
The manufacturer combines traditional Solingen craftsmanship with selected materials and uncompromising workmanship. Güde are not mass-produced goods, but tools with character.
When you hold a Güde in your hand, you can feel the difference: precision, balance, and durability that will last for decades. A knife for life.
The Güde Fasseiche from the Alpha series stands for the highest level of craftsmanship and uncompromising quality. The hand-forged, ice-hardened blade made of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel guarantees outstanding sharpness, durability, and perfect balance—tailor-made for precise work when butchering game and versatile outdoor adventures. Each Jagdnicker is created in up to 40 manual steps in Solingen, making each knife an exclusive one-of-a-kind piece. The handle scales made from 100-year-old barrel oak give the knife a refined and individual character that will delight both lovers of traditional craftsmanship and design enthusiasts. With a blade length of 11 cm, the hunting knife is particularly handy and lies securely and evenly in the hand – ideal for hunters, anglers, and outdoor sports enthusiasts. The knife impresses with its robustness, precision, and elegant understatement, and often becomes a favorite piece that lasts for generations. Choose a Güde – for lasting exclusivity and tool perfection from the Solingen factory.
Pro Tip:
For precise nicking or clean cutting of game, always hold the hunting knife firmly close to the blade – the compact 11 cm blade allows maximum control and power transfer with every cut. Briefly run the knife over a sharpening steel (15–20 degree angle) before each use to keep the ice-hardened blade permanently sharp and ready for use.
The Güde Fasseiche is a traditional, handmade knife from Solingen that will accompany you Solingen every hunting and outdoor adventure. The precisely forged blade made of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel and the exceptional handle made of 100-year-old barrel oak stand for lasting exclusivity and functional aesthetics – for all those who value uncompromising quality and unique pieces.
Its classic area of application is hunting: with its extremely sharp, sturdy 11 cm blade, the Jagdnicker is ideal for breaking open and cutting up game directly in the hunting ground. Thanks to its balanced weight and ergonomic handle design, you can perform even the most precise cuts with confidence, for example when cutting game meat, removing skin, or cutting small tendons. Originally, the hunting knife was used to quickly kill wounded game with a precise stab – today, it is a versatile tool for recovering and preparing game.
But even away from hunting, this knife is an indispensable companion: when fishing, hiking, or camping, the hunting knife cuts bread, vegetables, or meat precisely and reliably. Thanks to its robust construction, it is also ideal for cutting through strings, sharpening sticks, or even as a sharp tool for small craft tasks.
A creative tip: use the Jagdnicker as a stylish accessory for rustic picnics or outdoor events – the elegant oak wood makes every cutting board an eye-catcher and adds charming Solingen manufacturing flair.
Experience the Güde Fasseiche, an exclusive knife that will last for generations and offer you the perfect combination of precision, robustness, and timeless design every time you use it.
